Amy grew up in Boston and then left to attend the University of Pennsylvania, where she graduated Cum Laude with a bachelors degree in Biology. When she decided not to pursue a career in medicine, she took all her remaining electives at the Wharton School of Finance, where she studied all aspects of business, including marketing, management, economics, business law and insurance.
After graduation, she moved to Los Angeles where she worked in the computer industry for 16 years in various technical capacities as well as holding sales, consulting and management positions.
Combining her love of books and business, she left the corporate world in 1993 to open an Audiobook Store, ALBERT'S AUDIOBOOKS, in Agoura Hills. It quickly became a success. In 1996, she adopted her son, Adam, when he was 2 days old. Life was good.
Seven years later, Amy sold the store.
She then had a financial setback when the stock market bubble burst in 2000.
She started looking for another business, and in the meantime was a sales consultant for Mercedes-Benz and then sold Sunrooms and Patio Covers.
She finally found her new business: Super Automatic Specialty Coffee and Gourmet Beverage Machines. It has everything she was looking for: a unique and technically exceptional product, which also happens to be gorgeous; an unlimited market potential; and it's something people love!
Amy's hobbies include sailing, golf, travel, hiking, reading, music and spending as much time as possible with her son, an avid surfer and skateboarder.
Life is good.
